At Ella House, our most recent project, we inherited a wealth of original features and materials, which we have sympathetically restored.

A modern conservation philosophy

Sonbrook has extensive experience in built heritage conservation having delivered several projects over the years involving the sensitive management of change of protected structures.

A key goal is always to restore the original character and craftsmanship of a building whilst ensuring the integrity of the structure is retained.

The growing awareness of the environmental benefits of refurbishing an existing building over constructing a new building is now leading to policy change. The carbon footprint of a refurbished building is, in fact, half that of a newly-built replacement.

By deploying the latest energy-efficient heating, lighting and solar technology, we create state-of-the-art spaces.
